Noticing the concentric shapes in my evening beverage gave me the absurd idea of joining an eclipse with a cup of tea. The shapes rhymed just as the words playfully combined. The teacup is the star in its own abstract universe with two eclipses: one within the cup and one in the rim of the saucer. How compelling that we can see even massive celestial shapes appear in the small and unexceptional.
