Teaclipse 1 and 2 are a testimony to how large awe-inspiring forms are repeated in the small and seemingly mundane. Teacup 2 is an exploration in color and movement as the teacup rises high in its swirling sky. The teacup effectively eclipses a saucer sun. Note the repeating arcs, both in and outside the cup giving this composition unity. Noticing the concentric shapes in an evening beverage gave me the absurd idea of joining an eclipse with a cup of tea. The shapes rhymed just as the words playfully combined.
